Al Ain will begin the defence of their ADNOC Pro League title with an away fixture against Bani Yas on August 16, as the UAE champions start another campaign carrying major expectations.
The official fixture schedule places Al Ain’s opening league match at Bani Yas Stadium, with kick-off currently listed for 8:45 pm UAE time.
After winning the 2025-26 championship, Al Ain enter the new season as the team every rival will want to beat.
Al Ain Chase a 16th League Crown
The club secured its 15th UAE league championship last season, further extending its record as the country’s most successful league side. The achievement was officially celebrated in May after an impressive domestic campaign.
That success changes the pressure surrounding the team.
Al Ain are no longer chasing the champions. They are the champions, and clubs including Shabab Al Ahli, Al Wasl, Al Jazira and Al Wahda will begin the campaign trying to take the title away from them.
The opening trip to Bani Yas therefore represents more than an ordinary first-round match.
